New front door fitted to the Clubhouse along with Digital Access system & CCTV. Access details have been sent to Members. The new system appears to be working well so far.

The date for the Club's Annual General Meeting has been set for Wednesday 14th October, 6pm at the Clubhouse. Officers of the Club and members of the Committee will be present. The agenda will be: Receive Report of Membership Secretary - (Membership numbers, boat storage, matters concerning running of the Club etc.) Receive Audited Accounts from Treasurer - (Accounts and bank balance etc.) Election of Officers and Committee. Confirm fees and storage charges - (for next year)

Last Thursday, 'Asbo' our resident male swan was spotted in distress and bleeding in front of the Club. With his partner only just having given birth to six cygnets, the timing could not have been worse. Our quick thinking Member David, called Huntingdon Wildfowl Trust to report the injury. We gave them access to the Club and within hours they had turned up, somehow caught Asbo and taken him away for treatment. The following day they brought Asbo back and reported that the

2026 Season renewal emails were sent out yesterday. Members have until 25/5/26 to complete the renewal form and pay the fees.

For the second year running, the Club has permitted the environmental consultancy AECOM to use our facilities to launch from. They have been tasked with conducting some baseline aquatic ecology surveys on the River Nene and one of their survey sites is located downstream of Oundle North Bridge. Fish species surveyed were Bleak, Bream, Dace, Perch, Pike, Roach and Rudd. Katrina from AECOM has been kind enough to share some pictures with us.

Membership renewals for 2024 season are now closed. Thank you to all Members who renewed and paid fees promptly. It makes a somewhat tricky task, much easier. We were able to invite seven new people from the waiting list to join the Club and I'm happy to say that they have all accepted. If you are on the waiting list and didn't get in this time around, hang in there, new places do and will open up. Thanks to David G and Daniel C for their help with this.

Firstly, a very Happy New Year to all Members! Not completely unexpectedly, Storm Henk's rising water levels have caused some minor problems at the Club. As you'll see from the pictures below, the Club is now effectively inaccessible, with the entrance underwater. More seriously, the new floating pontoon was lifted above its pilings and were it not chained, we would likely have lost it. Luckily the water level has not reached the Clubhouse itself. The new pontoon dock was assembled and installed today at the Club. We think it looks pretty good indeed! It has a different 'feel' to the previous wooden dock so we suggest that everyone takes extra care until they get used to it. Huge thanks to Mick B and Matt H for all their hard work.
